Joy Ash, MSN, FNP

Joy Ash, MSN, FNP

Joy Ash, family nurse practitioner, is recently returned to the northwest from Guyana, South America. She was born and raised, mostly, in Oregon. In 2001, she graduated from Andrews University, in Michigan, with her BS Nursing Degree. Then, she returned to Oregon and worked as an emergency department nurse. Following that, she decided to get married and travel to California for further education. Ther, she studied to be a family nurse practitioner, earning her Masters Nursing degree from Loma Linda University, in 2005.

Following graduation, she and her husband decided to move to South America, where Joy spent time helping patients in several different jungle clinics, as well as treating them in their homes. Joy also spent time teaching pre-nursing classes, as well as doing some community health education. She especially enjoyed working with children and elderly persons.

During the course of time, God blessed their family with two girls. She has been privileged to have periods of time as a stay at home mom, in between her nursing activities. Spending time with family is a big priority for Joy. In 2017, they decided it was time for their family to relocate, back to the USA. Since Oregon is their home, they wanted to move back, to be nearer family. They have enjoyed meeting new people and making friends in the area. Joy has deemed it a privilege to get to know patients of the Shady Cove and Eagle Point Medical Centers. She looks forward to the future, making a difference for families in our area.
